Character Development

Player characters (PCs) are the focal point of everything that takes place within the game. You will tap into the universe of Star Trek with your PC and make all the role playing choices through your PC.

You'll be living (hopefully) with this character for a long time, so a little time should be taken in its creation. To begin with ask yourself the following questions:

1) What is the race of my character?
2) Where does my character come from?
3) What brought my character to become involved in the storyline?
4) Do I have any quirks or odd habits? A favorite saying? An accent?

By asking yourself, these four sample questions you develop the most important parts of your character: behavior, motivations, actions, goals, relationships, etc. Its these things that truly make your character who they are. Next you'll need to build a physical description of your character. The physical description is important as it allows others to better visualize and "interact' with your character during the story.

Answer the following questions to help build your physical description:

1) Taking into account your race, what are your characters overall characteristics?
2) Is your character male or female? Does your race even define sex?
3) Are there any abnormalities associated with your character's race?
4) What is your character's general height, weight, eye color, and hair color?

The answers to these questions will help you to make up your bioprofile and should allow not only you, but others in the story to have a reasonable idea of exactly what your character looks like.
