SECTION 3: PERSONAL HISTORY




Jason spent most of his childhood on a small colony on a moon near the neutral zone. In an era of war with Klingons, and unease and war with Romulans, it was a dangerous place. He learned a bit of survival training and used to hunt "Talsan Boars" Which were poisonous boar-like creatures on the moon. The Boars' blood was poisonous, but the poison reacts to magnesium...the combination is fatal for the vicious creature, and rendered the carcass potentially salvageable. After a raid partially destroyed his home colony, Jason's parents relocated, taking most of the family with them. Jason however signed on to replace some lost crew members on the USS Excalibur.




SECTION 4: CHARACTER'S ATTRIBUTES




1) Talents:  Jason is a master of many games of chance and sleight of hand. He is a good shot with a magnesium crossbow, and has a custom style of hand to hand combat that is both effective and dishonorable. Has some computer skills, and is technically apt.

2) Traditions: Jason always celebrated the birthdays of his family members, even though even his kid brother has long since died.

3) Marital Status: Single

4) Likes: A good game of cards, chess, music, dancing, reading, problem solving, and out thinking the opposition.

5) Dislikes: Coffee, Klingons, Romulans.

6) Strong Beliefs: It is Jason's belief that he is responsible for the lives of everyone on the ship when he is at tactical, and the he should do ANYTHING it takes to protect said people and succeed in a given mission.

7) Limitations: Has a problem with authority figures on occasion. Often doesn't follow rules and regulations that he views as "silly" He also has a tendency to "rub people the wrong way".

8) Strengths: An ability to think fast and adapt...an ability pushed to its limits by his recent recovery in an advanced society. Very cunning and creative. Has a strong survival instinct.

9) Ambitions: To build a new life from the ashes of his existence...where that life will be, he doesn't yet know.

10) Special Abilities: Some espionage style training he learned himself to escape a POW camp.

11) Quirks: Has an off-beat sense of humor...seems to get thrown into the brig a lot for some reason.




SECTION 5: CHARACTER'S CAREER




Served as an enlisted man on the USS Excalibur for three months, took over the tactical station in an emergency situation, and was subsequently promoted to an Ensign. Served as Chief Tactician for the USS Excalibur for the next year, garnering a few promotions in the interim. Captured in an Engagement with a Klingon Bird of Pray, and was incarcerated in a POW camp for 5 months. Escaped with a Romulan Ambassador as a hostage, and picked up by the Enterprise. Was restored to previous position on the Excalibur with honors and served for another four months before throwing a punch at the Captain.

Was subsequently court-martialed, and dishonorably discharged. Was placed in prison on a small colony world. The Excalibur and colony were assaulted shortly after, destroying the official results of the court-martial, and allowing Jason to escape. He then colony hopped for a while, living off games of chance and small sleight of hand shows. Later he enlisted on a private research vessel, the Sakura, as a security officer. While fleeing from a Klingon assault, the Sakura was boarded. Wells enacted a leak in one of the experimental reactors on the ship, and sealed himself in an untested Stasis chamber.

The wreckage of the ship was found well over a century later (2373), and he was freed. He is currently serving as a probationary officer on the USS Entropy with the rank of Ensign.

SECTION 7: PERSONAL NOTE




Jason Wells has won several citations for courage and bravery, and a few medals of conduct for his service aboard the USS Excalibur, he is currently forbidden to discuss or display them, until after a probationary period aboard the Entropy. (Assuming he isn't kicked out for failing his probation.)
