SECTION 3: PERSONAL
HISTORY

I was born on the planet Mars. My earliest memory is recieving word that my
father had been killed in an accident at the Martian Shipyards. I was six at
the time. My father was an Engineer working on improving the efficiency of Starfleet's
Warp Drives. He was on board the USS Argo, a ship based off the Olympic class
starship, trying out some modifications which he believed would improve efficieny
by 25%. It didn't work. The warp bulbble around his ship collapsed, and the
USS Argo was lost.
My Mother was a Doctor stationed at Mars when the accident happened. After the loss, my Mother requested that she be transferred to Starship duty, and my Mother was quickly lost in her work..
I spent the next ten years of my life on the USS Crick, a federation Medical Research Vessel. Since my mother was so engrossed in her work, I was able to spend a lot of time on my own, exploring the ship, and talking with officers and guests that were more interesting to the Doctors.
It is here that I discovered my skill with language. Some of the research the ship did was on disease outbreaks on homeworlds of many other species. I was curious so I went to talk to those people, they appreciated the company, and I would spend many hours talking to annoyed patients that the Doctors were working with . I enjoyed working with the people to allow my self to communicate with them without the benifit of the translators. I was able to become knowledgable in Klingon, Cardassian, Ferengi, even Romulan from a stay in a Nuetral Zone system. While I would not be mistaken as a native speaker of any of these languages, I am good enough that I can communicate effectively, and I found that in my Diplomatic Work so far, the ability to converse without translators has been considered impressive, and has been favorable on my negotiations.
I was accepted to StarFleet Academy at the age of 17. My time at school was interesting. I got along with most students and teachers. While I did well in the Academy, I graduated near the 30th Precentile in my class. My earliy were plauged with a rebellious attitude, where I would sometimes not do work I was assigned that I'd felt was tedious or boring. Unfortunately, a slight problem with authority has plauged me to this day, but I have matured to where I will to do the work ordered me by my superiors, though I have been known to voice displeasure when I've been unhappy with my orders.
During my time at the
Academy, I focused on classes that would help me communicate and work with other
races, and would prepare me to work with these other peoples. I was kind of
suprised at first when I had to take a class on Basic Combat Techniques. Yes,
there is a class on this
required for all Academy Graduates, but there was one specific to my field of
study. I learned soon enough, that sometimes, talks to fall apart, and I discovered
that I was actually pretty good at phaser combat. I wasn't the best Marksman
in the Academy, but my prowess caused me to get a supplemental degree in Combat
Strategies, meaning that I have some skill with not only fighting, but leading
other in Combat, along with some very basic Starship Combat instruction.
I graduated the Academy
on Stardate 10427 with a Degree in Galaxy Diplomacy and Languages, with the
Supplement in Combat Strategies. I was took a job working for Starfleet in their
General Diplomatic Division, but I soon bored of negotiating simple treaties
and helping Star Fleet do nothing more that "keep up appearances."
I also missed travelling the stars, so I requested transfer to a Starship as
a Special Operations Officer. I waited Three months before recieving my first
commision, on board the USS Challenger.

SECTION 4: CHARACTER'S
ATTRIBUTES
![]()
![]()
![]()
1) Talents: I have a great ability with language
and am partially fluent in Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan, and Ferengi. My familiarity
with these languages and my natural charisma have allowed me to work well with
Diplomatic parties, who appreciate not having to depend always on translators.
2) Traditions: Has never been very sentimental, and has never really had a home. He does remember his father's death on 0921, but has never requested special treatment on that day.
3) Marital Status: Single
4) Likes: Loves learning about people, and cultures. Really enjoys spending time around people, though he can develop a smugness that turns some people off. Really enjoys games that involve other people.
5) Dislikes: People who don't seem very tolerant, or seem really ignorant. Dislikes tasks that he sees as menial or boring, but he will do them.
6) Strong Beliefs: Ambar believes in a God, but he puts little faith in any one holy book. Seeks out Holy Texts from many different religions seeking truth for himself.
7) Limitations: Can have a slight problem with authority, likes to be in charge. Is a little wary around people he doesn't know very well.
8) Strengths: Works well with people, even if he is a little standoffish at first. Is great at reading people, and figuring out what their thinking and what they want.
9) Ambitions: Ambar is glad to be back on a Starship, and plans to work his way up, possibly one day to Captain, but merely wishes to prove himself.
10) Special Abilities: N/A
11) Quirks:
Can be pretty sarcastic in situations where he's comfortable, tends to poke
fun at his friends a bit. Can be very direct, but he never means to offend.
However, he's very professional when he needs to be.
