SECTION 3: PERSONAL HISTORY

Mother: K'Var, Klingon. She visited Earth and fell in love with Samuel Rugby, who became her lover. They never married- at K'Var's insistence.

After 3 years, K'Var returned home, leaving 18-mo. old K'Lon to be raised by Samuel Rugby. He did his best, but was unable to give her much in the way of Klingon culture/heritage. While at university (major in philosophy), K'Lon met a human, Daniel Stills.

He was a Christian and taught K'Lon his beliefs. K'Lon became a believer and they were later married. Daniel was killed in a freak hover-craft accident 2 years later.

They had no children. K'Lon never remarried. K'Lon taught undergrad. philosophy courses at two universities then, at age 45, decided to change course. She enrolled in Starfleet Academy, taking courses in medicine, social science and psychology.

She would have completed her Academy courses earlier, but during her third year she had to take a year-long leave of absence due to the death of her father.

After returning to Starfleet Academy, she graduated in the top third of her class and was assigned to the USS Challenger.

4) Likes: Honesty, new experiences and people (though I tend to avoid both until pushed). The view of space from a starship (newly acquired "like"), string figures, chess (though a VERY poor player), miniatures and (ok, I confess) chocolate.

5) Dislikes: Dishonesty, people who can't keep a confidence, people who are deliberately cruel, most Klingon food.

8) Strengths: Empathy with others, buffered with strong dose of practical "common sense" that keeps it from being weakness wise counsel.
